Our Classes

Lil' Dragons

Lil’ Dragons is designed for children ages 4 to 6. In our Lil’ Dragons classes, your child will work on life skills for home and school. The classes help prepare kids for school as well as develop self-confidence, practical self-defenses and a “can do” attitude.

Master Keeler instructs the children to defend themselves.  The class has also adopted the Winning Edge Child Awareness and Rapid Escape curriculum. It teaches the necessary skills children need to physically, mentally and, most importantly, emotionally defend themselves against child predators. The techniques learned will give your child a fighting chance or those few precious seconds needed to draw attention to their situation before it is too late. Our classes are non stop action; your child will jump, kick and punch their way to greater fitness and they love every second of it.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a grappling-based martial art that emphasizes technique over strength. It’s perfect for anyone looking to improve their ground game and learn how to defend themselves in close quarters. We also practice multiple MMA techniques in this class for great street fighting defense.

Taekwondo

HMA Taekwondo class includes everyone ages 7 to adult. Along with the traditional self defense, we practice techniques drawn from other arts, such as jiu jitsu, hapkido, kung fu, and judo. In every session, students train their bodies to be more fit and balanced. They practice a wide range of kicks, punches and sparring techniques to improve their skills as a martial artist. HMA attends three regional qualifiers per year and usually has students who qualify for AMAA National tournaments each year. Hammer Martial arts has produced over nine State Champions in the last ten years.

Combat Hapkido

Combat Hapkido is a new, modern style of Hapkido. It differs from traditional Hapkido philosophically as well as technically; Combat Hapkido is 100% SELF DEFENSE. There are no forms, Katas, or Body movement drills. All Combat Hapkido kicks are directed to the lower part of the body. Combat Hapkido does not teach ‘acrobatic kicks, and it teaches break falls and throws in a very limited manner. Combat Hapkido does NOT teach ‘traditional’ weapons like joot-do (bamboo sword) or fan. We teach cane, baton, knife and other self-defense tools. Combat Hapkido teaches special firearms disarming and weapon retention techniques. Combat Hapkido teaches the student to develop a survival mind set, its intense training builds strong muscle memory in various training environments. Combat Hapkido, is flexible and dynamic and continues to evolve. Combat Hapkido is not a sport and cannot be modified nor regulated to be one. There are no competitions, tournaments or champions.
